Requirements

Must:
- 15+ years of practical experience in designing large-scale enterprise data assets - Proven track record with efficient Operational Data Stores (ODS) and near real-time Data Warehouses - Strong understanding of prevalent data modeling methodologies, including Kimball and Inmon - Extensive experience in developing Conceptual, Logical, Physical, and ER data models - Proficient in using data modeling tools like Erwin - Significant experience in the financial services sector, covering accounts, cards, payments, and digital processing - Expert-level SQL programming, data analysis, and performance optimization - Solid experience with Oracle Exadata, MongoDB, and Snowflake - Practical experience in building and enhancing Snowflake solutions - Familiarity with event streaming and data warehousing architectures driven by events - Knowledge of contemporary data design methodologies such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices architectures, Data Mesh, and Bounded Contexts - Proven ability to drive data reuse and enforce enterprise data standards - Established capability to maintain a single version of truth in the data ecosystem - Skilled in Python scripting for tasks involving data ingestion, monitoring, alerts, and governance automation - Experience in developing and managing enterprise data catalogs, including metadata and lineage - Excellent communication skills with experience leading data modeling workshops - Strong collaborative skills across Business, Engineering, BI, and System-of-Record teams

Responsibilities

- Design and implement enterprise-level data architecture that upholds governance and best practices - Develop and sustain ER, conceptual, logical, and physical data models - Lead data modeling and design discussions with both business stakeholders and technical teams - Promote data reuse and standardization throughout the enterprise - Execute data analysis, profiling, and reverse/forward engineering tasks - Create source-to-target mappings and comprehensive process documentation - Build and refine high-performance physical data models - Develop and optimize SQL, stored procedures, pipelines, and data shares within Snowflake - Implement event-driven and near real-time data warehousing solutions - Design dashboards and presentations utilizing Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel - Employ Python scripting and Splunk for monitoring, alerts, ingestion, and automation of reporting - Maintain a constantly updated enterprise data catalog with comprehensive metadata and lineage - Collaborate on data pipeline creation using tools like Matillion, SnapLogic, or dbt (optional) - Apply industry reference models such as BIAN, IBM Banking & Financial Markets Model, and ISO 20022 - Mentor and provide support to junior data modeling and analytics personnel
