Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in Go (Golang) backend development
- Hands-on experience in creating GraphQL APIs and resolvers
- Proficient in GraphQL Federation and Subgraphs architecture
- Solid understanding of GraphQL SDL (Schema Definition Language)
- Experience in data aggregation and service orchestration using Go
- Familiar with integrating REST APIs and external services into backend systems
- Knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native architectures
- Experience implementing resiliency patterns (retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, etc.)
- Familiarity with GraphQL code generation tools to enhance type safety
- Strong expertise in testing frameworks and automated testing methodologies
- Capability to troubleshoot production challenges and optimize overall backend performance
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in distributed engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain GraphQL subgraphs utilizing Go within a federated GraphQL framework
- Develop and execute GraphQL resolvers for seamless integration with backend services and APIs
- Implement data fetching and aggregation logic, including error handling within Go services
- Contribute to the design of GraphQL schemas (SDL) and federation directives for effective schema composition
- Ensure GraphQL services meet the needs of federated gateways and are ready for composition
- Integrate backend services with REST APIs, native services, and third-party systems
- Apply resiliency patterns such as retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts during interactions with external services
- Utilize GraphQL operation-based code generation techniques to enhance type safety and maintainability
- Write unit tests and integration tests to guarantee the reliability and performance of services
- Provide support for production troubleshooting, debugging, and performance enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, API architects, and DevOps staff
- Engage in code reviews and contribute to establishing engineering best practices
- Ensure scalable and maintainable API development in accordance with contemporary microservices architecture
