Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of overall technology experience
- 4+ years of experience in supporting, implementing, upgrading, or enhancing ERP systems
- Significant hands-on experience with CAPPS / PeopleSoft Financials
- Proven experience in State of Texas CAPPS environments, specifically within Financials
- Strong capability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions with clients and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements, identify gaps, and propose compliant ERP solutions
- Experience guiding technical and functional decision-making in intricate ERP settings
- Hands-on experience with ERP migrations, upgrades, or transitions from legacy systems to CAPPS
- Strong collaboration skills with business, functional, and technical teams
Responsibilities
- Analyze agency business processes and translate those requirements into CAPPS/PeopleSoft ERP solutions
- Provide architectural guidance and direct support for CAPPS Financials, HCM, and related modules
- Design, implement, and enhance ERP solutions that align with State of Texas standards
- Guide agencies through ERP modernization, upgrades, and transitions from legacy systems to CAPPS
- Identify functional and technical gaps and propose alternative solutions within CAPPS constraints
- Facilitate decision-making processes with business, functional, and technical stakeholders, clearly articulating tradeoffs, risks, and impacts
- Collaborate closely with business users, functional leads, developers, and infrastructure teams
- Ensure ERP solutions align with long-term enterprise architecture and agency objectives
Description
We are a State of Texas agency looking for a seasoned ERP Architect / Senior PeopleSoft Consultant with substantial experience in CAPPS and PeopleSoft ERP systems. This hybrid role is based in Austin, TX, requiring occasional onsite presence for meetings, and offers a contract position of 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will provide both strategic input and practical support, assisting agencies in modernizing their systems and ensuring compliance with state standards. Our team values strong communication and the ability to work collaboratively across various stakeholders. Candidates must reside in Texas and hold valid work authorization in the U.S.
