Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in wargame design, or a total of 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Familiarity with a diverse range of game mechanics, adjudication techniques, and design methodologies.
- Ability to utilize digital wargaming platforms and simulation tools effectively.
- Proven leadership experience in meeting design objectives and successfully guiding team members in their tasks.
- Proficiency in creating and delivering professional, visually appealing presentations using Microsoft tools (e.g., PowerPoint) to varied audiences.
Responsibilities
- I create tailored wargame designs that meet specific objectives and research inquiries, guiding service-level decisions and further development efforts.
- I integrate modeling and simulation tools into the game design to advance our customer towards innovative wargaming concepts.
- I develop both physical and digital outputs for wargames, including detailed design documents, rule sets, player guides, maps, tokens, and other game components to enhance player engagement and experience.
- I facilitate and oversee wargames, ensuring that they operate smoothly, effectively, and meet established objectives.
- I collaborate closely with fellow wargame designers and developers as part of a design team, including the game director and lead analyst, to create an environment that supports the analytical goals of the game.
- I provide coordination support across various wargaming initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction at every stage of the planning process.
Description
- Preferred qualifications include experience in leveraging digital wargaming platforms and simulation tools, acting as a trusted advisor with an ability to contribute immediately. - Prior experience in a military or government contracting setting is a plus. - A TS/SCI clearance is required to start, with the ability to obtain SAP clearance. - This role demands excellent public speaking skills, with a capacity to deliver engaging presentations and coordinate effectively with others in an open setting, including planning conferences, play tests, and other game development forums. - The individual in this position must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time and occasionally move within the office to access equipment and communicate with coworkers and clients, including delivering presentations through email, phone, or virtual platforms.
