Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree along with 2+ years of relevant IT experience; alternatively, an additional 4+ years in IT may substitute for the degree
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, such as Security+
- DoD 8570 Computing Environment Certification to be obtained within 6 months of hiring, e.g., MCSA, VCP, or equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows Servers (2008/2012/2016/2019); experience with Microsoft Windows 10; managing Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and hardware for workstations and servers; familiarity with Microsoft Office 2010/2016; knowledge of DNS, Group Policy, and PKI; experience with vSphere, Horizon View, data backup, and antivirus solutions; basic networking skills including DHCP/TCPIP; experience in deploying workstation images; familiarity with thin and/or zero clients
- Understanding of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, or VMware products
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
- Familiarity with a Service Desk ticketing system, such as ServiceNow
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement site deployments, which includes planning, scheduling, and on-site installation of hardware and configurations
- Perform site assessments to evaluate network environments, compile user requirements, and document existing configurations
- Set up routers, switches, computers, and other peripherals; establish and maintain secure and dependable network architectures
- Provide daily IT support across client/server/storage/network systems, which involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues
- Manage system configurations and documentation, supervise hardware procurement, inventory, equipment movement, and shipping
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and aid in architectural upgrades through change requests and performance suggestions
- Travel up to 50% within the U.S. and occasionally (5-10%) overseas for deployment activities, surveys, installations, and on-site assistance
