### We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of seven years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) or in a comparable role at a cleared facility. You should possess at least eight years of experience in the Information Technology sector along with a bachelor’s degree; six years if you have a master’s degree; ten years with an associate degree; or twelve years with a high school diploma. You must hold at least one of the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Security Professional (GISP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II proficiency. Additionally, you need to possess at least one of the following certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, (ISC)2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AZ-500: Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google - Professional Cloud Security Engineer. Cloud certification may be obtained within six months of starting, pending client approval. Familiarity with security tools such as Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and similar applications is also required. ###

Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure the daily execution, oversight, continuous monitoring, and upkeep of security configurations, practices, and procedures for each Information System (IS). You will provide liaison support between system owners and other IS security personnel. It is essential to ensure that selected security controls are implemented and functioning as intended throughout all phases of the IS lifecycle. You will also develop, maintain, review, and continuously update system security documentation. Conducting required IS vulnerability scans based on risk assessment parameters will be part of your duties, along with coordinating system owner agreement for corrective or mitigation actions. You will be responsible for developing Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in response to reported security vulnerabilities, managing risks to information systems and other FBI assets by coordinating appropriate corrective or mitigative measures, and overseeing and tracking the timely completion of POAMs. Furthermore, you will monitor security controls for FBI ISs to maintain their security Authorized to Operate (ATO) status, uploading all security control evidence to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application during the monitoring phase. You will ensure that changes to an FBI IS, its environment, or operational needs that may affect authorization status are communicated to the system owner and IS Security Manager (ISSM), and coordinate the removal and retirement of ISs being decommissioned. ###

Description


We prefer candidates with a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related cyber disciplines. Applicants must hold an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI prior to starting the position, and candidates may be required to undergo a Polygraph examination. Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time, occasionally move within the office for accessing file cabinets and machinery, and frequently operate a range of productivity tools, such as computers and copiers. You should also be able to maintain computers in the lab and effectively communicate with co-workers, management, and clients, which may sometimes require delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information.
