Requirements
Must:
- Over 20 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer in similar programs and contracts
- Bachelors degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering Science; or an additional 5 years of System Engineer experience in lieu of a degree
- IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent) is required, with the obligation to obtain it within 60 days of starting the program if not currently held
- Proficient in administering Linux operating systems
- Experience with Windows Server 2022 administration, including Active Directory and networking
- Practical knowledge as a System Administrator or Cloud Engineer in cloud environments
- Preferred: Experience in enterprise or government settings
- Preferred: Knowledge of cloud security and compliance protocols
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for infrastructure management and troubleshooting
- Preferred: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork
- Preferred: Proficient in administering and troubleshooting various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
- Clearance: Must possess a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Must be a US Citizen
Responsibilities
- Administer, troubleshoot, and provide general support for Windows Server 2022 environments, Windows 10/11 client systems, and various Linux distributions, both in the cloud and on-premise
- Design, deploy, and maintain resilient cloud environments primarily within AWS, while also supporting applicable on-premise server infrastructure
- Create, implement, and uphold automation scripts and configurations using SaltStack to enhance infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes
- Work alongside development teams to assist in the integration and operational stability of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring successful and reliable software deployments
- Oversee, monitor, and resolve issues related to AWS cloud resources, such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, AMIs, Route 53, workspaces, and additional core services
- Evaluate system performance, availability, and security, responding to incidents and conducting root cause analyses
- Manage licenses and certificates effectively
