Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or 4+ years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Over 2 years of experience in IT and/or Cyber Security
- IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+, Net+) or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and disseminating complex IT and security documentation
- Experience in providing Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) support and collaborating with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to apply security controls in line with RMF and NIST 800-53 standards
- Ability to identify security requirements for managing Government data to maintain compliance
- Familiarity with technologies supporting large-scale enterprise deployments and complex network inventories
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver Information Assurance (IA) updates and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation while conducting Tenable scans and supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) renewals
- Utilize Splunk for weekly Continuous Monitoring (CONMONs) and update Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) to ensure adherence to continuous monitoring requirements
- Assess and resolve allocated controls using Bodies of Evidence (BOEs) while implementing necessary Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Collaborate with network service partners to design and sustain effective network architecture diagrams for cyber defense
- Evaluate and suggest technology enhancements to drive performance improvements in line with industry standards
- Monitor and interpret system performance and faults, proposing solutions for optimization while liaising with stakeholders to share technical information
- Assist in A&A activities pertaining to network security technologies and maintain an organized library of essential documentation
