Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or Associates Degree with relevant experience (11+ years or 9+ years, respectively) or a Bachelors Degree with 7+ years of experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of workstation, laptop, printer, and server hardware, including troubleshooting, operating system setup and upkeep, and driver installation.
- Strong grasp of networking principles such as IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and related equipment like switches and routers.
- Proven ability to support and enhance technology lifecycle processes within a large-scale IT production environment, collaborating effectively with engineering and operations teams.
- Preferred: Awareness of TEMPEST systems and their requirements.
- Preferred: Experience with server-based applications, such as Windows Server and SQL.
- Preferred: Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for task automation.
- Preferred: Familiarity with video teleconferencing equipment and technologies.
- Preferred: Understanding of system security accreditation protocols and requirements.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and/or Cisco CCNA.
- Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Conduct testing, validation, and approval of hardware for enterprise deployment, including workstations, laptops, servers, monitors, printers, multifunction devices, video teleconferencing systems, VOIP, AV equipment, and networking tools.
- Provide comprehensive engineering support across various enterprise technologies, including workstations, networks, AV/VTC, enterprise applications, and ServiceNow workflows.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve product issues, engage in regular monthly meetings, and utilize vendor roadmaps for lifecycle planning and replacement strategies.
- Maintain product supply chain consistency by identifying functional replacements for items that are nearing the end of their lifecycle or are in short supply.
- Deliver Tier 2 hardware assistance to Location Support Centers, providing technical support and training as necessary.
- Work within a team environment operational from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, ensuring coverage during an 8-hour shift within these hours.
