We are looking for a candidate who possesses a Bachelor’s degree and has a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and safeguarding IT infrastructure within an ICD 705 facility. A solid understanding of network security measures during installations and operations is essential. Furthermore, you must have an active and current Top-Secret clearance, along with the capability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
As a Network Security Engineer, your key duties will include the following:
- Utilizing your expertise in network design, monitoring, systems development, and your knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) policies and best practices relevant to the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Marine Corps.
- Collaborating with Marine Corps organizations that facilitate network approvals and connections.
- Coordinating with various branches, including Marine Corps, Navy, and other services, to endeavor installations that support Initial Operating Capability (IOC) and Final Operating Capability (FOC).
- Communicating effectively and providing coordination among government entities, Marine Corps, and contractor organizations.
- Assisting the Site Security Manager (SSM)/Special Security Representative (SSR) and the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) by overseeing the secured installation and operation of systems across diverse security domains, in line with established policies and best practices.
- Establishing and fulfilling intricate system-wide information security requirements based on an assessment of user needs, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Additionally, you will support the Marine Corps and other customers in developing and implementing doctrine and policies.

We are a dedicated team based at Marine Corps Base Kaneohe, Hawaii, seeking a driven and customer-focused Network Security Engineer. Your role will involve assisting the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) in preparing for and sustaining network information assurance, IT infrastructure, and audio-visual capabilities across multiple classified networks as part of an existing ICD 705 Facility. Proficiency with MS Word and MS PowerPoint is preferred, as it will aid in carrying out your responsibilities effectively.
