Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent of 4 years of direct experience in lieu of a degree.
- Over 6 years of experience in Cybersecurity Systems Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment.
- Must satisfy certification and position requirements as stated in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 1 and Information Assurance Manager Level 2 within 6 months of hire.
- Comprehensive understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG) processes for system accreditation, including legacy processes (DITSCAP, DIACAP).
Responsibilities
- Act as the RMF Cybersecurity Specialist for our systems, ensuring ongoing security analysis of RMF packages with timely updates and notifications.
- Revise RMF Security Control Families as needed and accurately manage them through eMASS.
- Maintain a deep understanding of NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 controls, identifying applicable controls for applications, and documenting the implementation in the Security Controls Traceability Matrix.
- Offer support and guidance to Program Managers and Security Authorities to uphold suitable information assurance (IA) postures for systems and programs.
- Conduct assessments to detect and address potential security vulnerabilities, ensuring that all security measures are effectively implemented and operational.
- Track and resolve the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to mitigate vulnerabilities on assigned information systems.
- Draft, prepare, and sustain security Assessment and Authorization documentation (e.g., IA SOP, SSP, MSSP, RAR, and SCTM).
- Oversee the development, execution, and assessment of information system security program policy, with a strong focus on integration with current SAP network infrastructures.
- Formulate and present IA risk management advice to the customer, representing the Government Program Manager in various SSE-related working groups and advisory councils.
