Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years of progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity roles
- Extensive knowledge of Operating Systems, Network Infrastructure, Security Principles, and System Architecture
- Proficient in Python or similar programming languages for development and scripting tasks
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CEH are a plus
- Experience with automation and SOAR platforms, specifically in creating automated incident response playbooks
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across teams and facilitating organizational change
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee secure, scalable systems within Windows, Linux, and cloud environments to maintain a robust architecture
- Manage configurations, patches, and updates in various environments ensuring operational readiness
- Create and support scripts and automation tools using Python or equivalent languages to enhance defensive operations
- Oversee virtual infrastructures like VMware or Hyper-V, deploying complex systems in AWS or Azure cloud settings
- Develop and manage automation workflows using SOAR platforms and create automated incident response playbooks
- Improve the efficiency of EDR solutions, Digital Forensics platforms, and SIEM systems, including Splunk or ELK
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to plan and conduct cyber exercises and drills, offering technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Suggest and implement process and policy enhancements by staying updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats
