Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience in Network Analysis
- Ability to identify, decipher, and comprehend network artifacts
- Must possess or acquire certification compliant with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance (IA) requirements within one calendar year of assignment, including or maintaining IA III certification
- Credentialed graduate from an accredited federal or DoD Counterintelligence training academy (desired)
- Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline (desired)
- Possession of a DoD Cyber Crimes Investigator certification (desired)
- Post-graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline (desired)
- Experience with malware analysis (desired)
- Must have a TS/SCI clearance and the ability to pass a polygraph exam
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellence in reporting and adherence to established processes by completing accurate and timely reports, aligning all actions with established timeframes and standard operating procedures
- Provide thorough CI Cyber Support, delivering written and technical analyses to assist team members in producing forensic reports and CI Cyber inquiries, as well as subsequent monthly, quarterly, and annual CI Cyber Threat reports for improved threat understanding
- Conduct detection and analysis of threats by identifying anomalous network activity through data analysis, assessing intrusion detection systems, incident tickets, event and log analysis, and security change monitoring
- Investigate instances of malicious code to uncover attack vectors, payloads, origins, and the extent of potential damage or data exfiltration, while identifying risks to computer systems and proposing corrective measures or software solutions
- Develop requirements and document best practices by identifying and analyzing user, customer, and stakeholder needs, translating them into technical specifications while documenting lessons learned, processes, and procedural guidelines for quality assurance
