Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst, incident responder, or in a related cybersecurity role. - Strong expertise in hypothesis-driven threat hunting, particularly using the HMM-4 methodology and the Mitre ATT&CK framework. - Proficient with SIEM platforms and EDR solutions, as well as tools for network traffic analysis and cloud environments (AWS, Azure). - Ability to solve problems effectively under pressure and communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., GCIH, CTIA, or CThH) are preferred. - Solid understanding of network protocols and endpoint security practices. - Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related IT field is desired. - Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Responsibilities

- Engage in proactive threat hunting using the HMM-4 approach along with the Mitre ATT&CK framework. - Formulate and enhance hypotheses for specific threat hunts, informed by threat intelligence and analysis of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). - Collaborate with various internal departments to gather and analyze security event data from diverse sources such as logs, alerts, network traffic, and endpoint telemetry. - Employ advanced tools and technologies to detect indicators of compromise (IOCs) and anomalies signaling possible threats. - Conduct thorough analyses of identified threats, evaluate their impact, and suggest effective mitigation and response strategies. - Document investigative goals and progress throughout the threat hunting process and prepare detailed reports that include root cause analysis and remediation recommendations. - Continuously learn about the latest cyber threats, attack methodologies, and security technologies to enhance our teams knowledge base.
