Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or an equivalent 4+ years of relevant IT experience in place of a degree.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or IT.
- DoD Directive 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (or higher), or the capability to acquire it within six months of employment.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity engineering tasks across both Linux and Windows systems.
- Capability to implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and technical security guidance for information systems.
- Practical experience in system hardening, vulnerability management, and security configuration baselines.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and network security principles, as well as secure system architectures.
Responsibilities
- Complete tasks requested by customers and resolve incident tickets through the ServiceNow service delivery platform.
- Onboard, configure, and manage customer assets, including operating systems, applications, and network devices within various security enclaves.
- Provide systems administration support for both Linux and Windows environments in operational and audit contexts.
- Engage in beta testing, assessment, integration, and implementation of Audit Enterprise and SIEM system upgrades.
- Maintain, review, and revise engineering instruction sets, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational documentation.
- Verify and validate system functionalities, including audit event processing, metrics generation, and necessary audit coverage.
- Design, maintain, and enhance SIEM capabilities such as search queries, data collection, flex connectors, regex parsing, and customer data validation.
- Function effectively in a dynamic, mission-driven government atmosphere.
