Requirements
Must:
- A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (equivalent credential recognition required for degrees obtained outside Canada).
- At least 4 years of programming experience, with a strong focus on JAVA application development.
- Practical experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server or Oracle, including schema design, complex SQL queries, and performance optimization.
- Experience in developing and maintaining applications in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency in both spoken and written French.
- Residency in Quebec with Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work permit.
- Mastery of Java, SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, NodeJS, and Angular.
- Familiarity with source code management tools, software versioning and automation, continuous integration, and standardized development environments (IDEs), including GIT, Maven, and Eclipse or VS Code.
- Knowledge of Docker containers and Linux environments, as well as Azure Cloud and Kubernetes technologies.
- Strong understanding of Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.
- In-depth knowledge of modern software architectures and application security principles.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and best development practices.
Responsibilities
- Execute programming tasks to address change requests and enhancements, resolve issues, and maintain high code quality.
- Design, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure database integrity and performance, in collaboration with database administrators.
- Conduct unit testing, make necessary adjustments following testing and incidents, and participate in code reviews to ensure application quality.
- Provide third-level support and assist in resolving incidents in production.
- Enhance application performance and actively engage in Agile activities (sprints, iteration planning, retrospectives).
- Offer technical leadership by mentoring junior team members and improving development processes.
- Participate in defining requirements, clarifying processes, and validating solutions with users and business analysts.
Description
We are seeking 7 junior Java programmers for a 3-year contract, offering 4 weeks of paid vacation and 13 holidays annually. Our benefits include group insurance, dental coverage, and complementary health insurance. This is a full-time, fixed-term position with an annual salary ranging from $40,000 to $50,000. The position will allow for remote work.
