Requirements
Must:
- I have 8–12 years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- I possess a strong command of AWS, Python, Terraform, and contemporary CI/CD practices.
- I have proven experience working in regulated environments such as health tech or fintech (or equivalents).
- I can manage both infrastructure and product engineering simultaneously.
- I demonstrate mastery in AI technologies, including developing AI solutions and integrating AI throughout the software development lifecycle to expedite time to market and enhance code quality.
- I communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, adept at conveying strategic decisions and updates on progress to the Executive Team, Board, and Investors.
- I exhibit empathy for users and team members, with a strong commitment to building responsibly and inclusively.
- *Bonus:* I have experience with FHIR, remote monitoring integrations, or AI/ML pipelines.
Responsibilities
- I will lead, mentor, and develop a small yet high-performing engineering team, encompassing backend, full-stack, and DevOps roles.
- I will be hands-on, engaging in development work, conducting code reviews, making strategic architectural choices, and designing DevOps workflows.
- I will define and implement the company's AI strategy, overseeing AI development and ensuring initiatives align with business objectives.
- I will ensure that HIPAA, SOC-2, and security best practices are integrated into every system.
- I will translate product requirements into technical roadmaps and sprint goals.
- I will maintain and enhance our AWS infrastructure to ensure it remains scalable, efficient, and cost-effective.
- I will collaborate with Product to release highly performant, reliable, and secure products.
- I will provide quarterly technical updates and delivery metrics for board and investor communications.
- I will foster a culture of humility, accountability, and excellence that aligns with Lōvu’s mission.
Description
