Requirements
Must:
- Associate degree in computer science or a related discipline; Bachelors degree preferred, relevant experience may compensate for educational qualifications.
- Minimum of three years experience in computer hardware, systems, network administration, or other pertinent IT roles.
- Bilingual skills in English/Spanish or other local languages preferred.
- Completion of a Level II background check, local criminal record check, and drug screening before hiring.
- In-depth understanding of computer programming principles, database design, software life cycles, and technical documentation standards.
- Proficiency in business mathematics and the capability to generate and analyze reports and charts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical journals and manuals.
- Expertise in training and guiding individuals with varying technical proficiencies.
- Capacity for collaborative teamwork and problem-solving.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operations of IT services within the Southeast Program Area.
- Develop and update internal procedures for computer and IT operations.
- Collaborate with management on proposed projects, establishing schedules and task priorities.
- Ensure compliance with security policies that protect computer data and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain system reports as needed.
- Provide timely and courteous support for computer and IT-related requests.
- Facilitate audio-visual support for program activities.
- Manage phone system extensions and modifications in coordination with IT staff.
- Review vendors for services, supplies, and equipment to secure optimal pricing.
- Ensure all IT purchases receive prior approval from relevant management.
- Assess and recommend purchases for equipment and software acquisitions.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding residents, families, and staff according to established protocols.
