Requirements
Must:
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- A+, N+ and Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP+I) certifications or equivalent experience preferred
- One to two years’ experience in administration of workstation support in a network environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft System Center
- Knowledge of print management
- Ability to run diagnostic programs to troubleshoot problems
- Capable of guiding customers through problem-solving processes
- Proficient in hardware and software analysis and problem resolution
- Basic understanding of Windows-based PC computing and troubleshooting
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
- Experience with onboarding and offboarding end-users
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites
- Demonstrated sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs of our service population
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for technical assistance and support for computer systems, software, and hardware
- Troubleshoot issues through diagnostic techniques and effective inquiry via various communication methods
- Install, manage, and maintain hardware including PCs, laptops, thin clients, and network devices
- Implement security and anti-virus measures across all Agency workstations as necessary
- Maintain documentation of procedures, system policies, and software configurations
- Log incidents related to downtime and other specified issues as per supervisors guidelines
- Recommend and coordinate necessary repairs for technical issues
- Stay updated with new and existing technologies to ensure utilization of cost-effective solutions
- Build and maintain a network of hardware and software experts for problem-solving and concept recommendations
- Provide both on-site and remote support to users
- Review and assist in the acquisition of relevant hardware and software
- Collaborate with the Help Desk Supervisor to devise an implementation plan for assigned tasks
