Lead Software Engineer - US

- Champion the methodology through ownership of all elements of the development lifecycle. - Support and take responsibility for all relevant areas. - Continuously mentor others in producing all artifacts. - Influence the work of others to successfully complete medium and large projects through effective project management, customer interaction, and IT coordination. - Accurately estimate task completion time and guide the team's work to fit these timelines. - Mentor team members about business processes implemented in the applications to resolve support issues. - Efficiently categorize support problems and respond appropriately based on urgency. - Assist in establishing API-First standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in the APIs hosted on the platform. - Design and implement automation mechanisms for API proxy configuration modifications, API product definitions, and API access credential acquisition. - Engage in front-end user interface design and development using Lumen’s portal frameworks and design systems for consistent digital products and experiences. - Work on back-end design and development of API microservices, adhering to API-First best practices and standards. - Contribute to the development lifecycle’s maturity by applying strong DevOps principles and practices, including creating high-quality code and tests, CI/CD, and reusable software components. - Manage and support API Gateway platforms, including potential on-call production support functions. - Collaborate with and mentor fellow employees to ensure quality product enhancements. - Demonstrate creativity and innovation towards continuous improvement and software delivery excellence.
