Requirements
Must:
- 2-4 years of hands-on IT support experience, with preference for manufacturing or industrial environments
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Subnetting
- Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading desktop/laptop hardware; experience with racking server/network equipment and structured cabling (Cat6)
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint) and Active Directory user management
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing platforms and remote support tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical issues in simplified terms for various audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focusing on root-cause analysis
- Ability to remain composed under pressure when dealing with outages or frustrated users
- High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification preferred; CompTIA A+ acceptable but Network focus prioritized
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces

Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal IT requests, ensuring users feel supported and informed
- Manage and prioritize incoming IT requests based on their business impact
- Provide deskside support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues for Windows and Mac systems
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and a positive start with IT
- Oversee and maintain the organization of physical network closets, including racking switches and managing cabling
- Execute daily network operations, including managing VLANs and handling network changes
- Diagnose simple connectivity issues and assist in troubleshooting Wi-Fi coverage problems
- Support IT rollouts and change management processes as part of project initiatives
- Document network infrastructure, including mapping wall jacks and updating diagrams
- Participate in mentorship with the Senior Network Security Engineer to enhance skills in Fortinet firewalls and advanced routing
