Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields from an accredited institution.
- Over 10 years of experience in IT, specifically in systems engineering, system administration, and operations (Linux preferred).
- Extensive background in managing and implementing cloud services (AWS preferred).
- Proven experience in managing projects, including creating project plans, effort estimation, executing and tracking progress, conducting customer reviews, and coordinating with program management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and delegate tasks effectively among team members.
- Current CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
- At least one certification from recognized DoD-approved cloud service providers (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile environments and managing software and infrastructure using DevSecOps methodologies.
- Knowledgeable about DoD cybersecurity frameworks and best practices - RMF, STIGs, POA&M.
- Experience working with Government or Defense contracts is beneficial.
- Proficient in using common release tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Understanding of financial systems or processes is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership over a team of system administrators and operations support engineers.
- Manage cloud system operations across various environments, including development, testing, and production.
- Integrate new systems into AWS cloud infrastructure and oversee the entire project lifecycle.
- Liaise with Government stakeholders to drive system operations and integration efforts.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within the specified scope.
- Conduct regular customer reviews to monitor project progress and address concerns.
- Actively lead and participate in team task delegation and performance tracking.
