Requirements

Must:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. - A minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud network engineering is required. - At least 2 years of experience with AWS and 1 year of experience with GCP is necessary. - Familiarity with healthcare cybersecurity and privacy regulations and standards such as HIPAA, HITECH, and HITRUST is essential. - Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for task automation is expected. - Knowledge of ADT, CCD, DQ/DR messages and documents used in healthcare is important. - Experience with HL-7 and FHIR healthcare data standards is required. - Proficiency with Mirth Connect and the Google Cloud Healthcare API is preferred. - Experience participating in Agile Scrum project teams is advantageous.

Responsibilities

- I will design architecture for cloud-based systems, selecting the appropriate cloud services and configuring the necessary technical resources. - I will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cloud operations. - I will manage network and system configuration to ensure scalability and availability of all production environments. - I will oversee daily operations of cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and resource use. - I will monitor environments for performance, cost, availability, and cybersecurity, configuring alerting tools and responding to alerts as necessary. - I will conduct system updates, patching, and maintenance. - I will set up logging across network infrastructures and continuously monitor logs to detect operational and cybersecurity issues. - I will formulate and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. - I will maintain, configure, and monitor productivity software such as Office 365, Teams, mail servers, SharePoint, JIRA, and Salesforce. - I will implement security measures to safeguard cloud-based assets, including data encryption and access control. - I will develop processes for user provisioning and access management aligned with HITRUST and collect necessary evidence for audits. - I will respond to cybersecurity threats, ensuring security certificates are current and that all SFTP connections, VPN channels, and ports are correctly configured to eliminate vulnerabilities promptly. - I will analyze cloud spending and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising performance or cybersecurity. - I will ensure that each compute, storage, and database asset is appropriately sized, placed in the correct environment, and optimally configured. - I will diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud systems and applications, providing Tier 2-3-level technical support. - I will automate infrastructure deployments, configuration management, performance monitoring, and cybersecurity tasks to enhance efficiency.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled and motivated Cloud Network Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our two cloud environments (AWS and GCP). This is a full-time, salary-position, benefitted role provided through Heluna Health, with a pay range of $118,657.43 to $130,000.00 annually. Please note this is a virtual home-based position, requiring attendance at in-person meetings in the Los Angeles area as needed.
