Requirements
Must:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in a corporate setting
- A+, Network+, or MCP Certification, or other relevant certifications
- Extensive technical expertise in desktop hardware and software, including various Windows versions and Microsoft Office
- Profound knowledge of TCP/IP-based LAN and WAN networks
- Strong understanding of internal PC components
- Significant hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting
- Familiarity with programming languages like Visual Basic and .Net, as well as reporting tools such as Crystal Reports
- Capability to operate various tools, components, and peripheral devices
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and procedural documentation
- Strong research skills regarding PC issues and products
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Superior verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to convey complex ideas in user-friendly terms
- Strong customer service focus
- Valid NY State drivers license and reliable transportation
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution for end-user device issues
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for desktops and laptops
- Administer and resolve concerns related to end-user workstation software
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online and Teams
- Manage troubleshooting for Cisco VoIP phones and related systems
- Collaborate with Desktop Engineer for optimal desktop environment performance
- Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Azure
- Utilize remote desktop tools for efficient support
- Document equipment failures and repairs, and analyze data for trends
- Maintain inventory of IT hardware components
- Deploy and manage operating systems and applications using tools like Intune
- Ensure endpoint security compliance
- Coordinate orders for new and replacement equipment
- Assist with phone equipment deployment and maintenance as necessary
