Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for a candidate with over 5 years of experience in mobile application development, ideally having spent at least 3 years in senior or lead roles with cross-platform iOS and Android projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Swift for iOS app development, especially with UIKit/SwiftUI, Core Data, and networking with URLSession.
- Strong experience in Kotlin for Android development, including Jetpack Compose, Room, and Retrofit for API interactions.
- Required knowledge of mapping on mobile applications, particularly with MapKit (iOS) and Google Maps SDK (Android) for handling geospatial queries, overlays, and location-based capabilities.
- Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., Firebase for cross-platform sync) and deployment platforms (e.g., App Store Connect, Google Play Console).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and proficiency in tools like Jira, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Fastlane, Gradle).
- Soft Skills:
- I seek candidates with excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, and a proactive approach to project delivery.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in the Water Resources or agricultural tech sector would be a plus, along with familiarity with GIS/mapping libraries (e.g., ArcGIS Runtime SDK for mobile, Mapbox) and prior work on forms-heavy or data-intensive mobile SaaS applications.
- Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
- Other:
- Ability to commute to Johnstown, CO, and U.S. work authorization is required.

Responsibilities
- I will need you to design and implement mobile API integrations between One Red, HydroData, and ProducerConnect, ensuring secure and seamless data synchronization across both iOS and Android platforms.
- You will be responsible for developing and optimizing native mobile UI components with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android), aimed at creating intuitive interfaces for data entry, visualization, and user workflows.
- Your role includes building scalable mobile services for offline data processing, error handling, and performance tuning, ensuring seamless backend connectivity.
- You will integrate advanced mapping functionalities into mobile apps, leveraging location services for geospatial data display, routing, and field annotations in water resource management scenarios.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams (product, QA, and stakeholders) to define requirements, conduct code reviews, and meet deliverables on time will also be key.
- You’ll write clean, maintainable code and carry out comprehensive testing (including unit, integration, and end-to-end) using frameworks such as XCTest (iOS) and JUnit (Android).
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments while utilizing mobile monitoring tools to ensure app reliability and optimal user experience will be part of your duties.
- Documenting code, APIs, and deployment processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and future scalability will be necessary.
- Additionally, mentoring junior developers and contributing to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, will be expected.
