Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in resolving Tier 1 and Tier 2 support tickets
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and access-related issues
- Experience with Microsoft 365, endpoints, and business applications support
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, preferably ServiceNow
- Ability to perform basic network troubleshooting on switches and access points
- Skills in patching, port validation, and resolving connectivity problems
- Capability to reboot server and network equipment as needed
- Knowledge of terminating and testing Ethernet cabling
- Experience in installing and relocating workstations and peripherals
- Organizational skills to maintain IT closet cleanliness
- Competence in configuring and deploying desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Ability to perform software installations, updates, and imaging tasks
- Experience supporting multi-factor authentication (MFA) and account access issues
- Understanding of endpoint security standards and policies
- Documentation skills for maintaining accurate ticket records
- Ability to contribute to knowledge base articles and standardized solutions
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes
- Willingness to pursue a career path towards IT Support Administrator or related roles
Responsibilities
- Address and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 support tickets efficiently
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and user access
- Provide assistance for Microsoft 365 and business applications
- Document all activities in the ticketing system (ServiceNow)
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting on switches and access points
- Assist in patching, validating ports, and addressing connectivity issues
- Perform reboots on servers and network equipment as directed
- Terminate and test Ethernet cables when necessary
- Aid in the installation and relocation of workstations and peripherals
- Ensure the IT closets and equipment are kept clean and organized
- Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Handle software installations, updates, and imaging tasks
- Support multi-factor authentication and identity-related issues
- Ensure that endpoints comply with security standards
- Maintain thorough and precise ticket documentation
- Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and reusable solutions
- Adhere to ITSM processes and work in an audit-ready manner
Description
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team based at the Long-Lewis dealerships in Prattville, AL. This hybrid position requires regular travel to various dealership locations, including Birmingham, as well as occasional trips to our Corporate Office in Florence, AL for team collaboration.
