Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in managing Oracle databases (8+ years is acceptable for exceptional candidates).
- Practical experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Proficiency in scripting with Shell or PowerShell.
- In-depth knowledge of database backup, recovery, and performance optimization.
- Strong skills in collaboration and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage databases across test, development, and production environments.
- Evaluate, test, and implement physical database architectures to maximize performance.
- Keep thorough documentation of database configurations, environments, and patches.
- Ensure that data recovery, integrity, and space requirements are maintained following established policies and standards.
- Review current setups, perform capacity planning, and suggest best practices for future database systems.
- Carry out performance assessments and tuning for Oracle databases.
- Work closely with system administrators, technical managers, developers, and architects on database-related technical challenges.
- Facilitate data and/or database migrations between various platforms.
- Implement database modifications during scheduled maintenance periods after hours.
- Identify and introduce automation and/or self-service solutions to enhance database processes.
- Engage in bi-weekly on-call duties.
