Requirements

Must:
- Over 4 years of experience working with the Azure platform - At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Windows or Linux administration, engineering, and automation - Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like Harness and Octopus Deploy - Strong understanding of the OSI Model and its application to cloud computing - Expert in managing the lifecycle of IaaS VMs, including troubleshooting boot issues, backup/restore, imaging, resizing, and scaling VMs - In-depth experience with Azure Monitor, including configuring and maintaining diagnostic settings, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and writing Log Analytics queries using Kusto Query Language - Proficient with Azure data migration tools - Expertise in Azure App Service, including diagnosing resource contention issues and identifying failures in application logs - High level of proficiency with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates - Advanced knowledge in Terraform automation - Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with customers, vendors, and colleagues at all organizational levels - Well-organized and detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in Azure for the Hosted Operations Team - Collect feedback from the department regarding areas for improvement and propose solutions using Azure - Act as a point of escalation for intricate Azure cases - Engage in inter-departmental planning meetings to propose solutions for ongoing issues as well as process enhancements - Collaborate with the internal team to identify challenges in Azure deployments and configurations and suggest resolution strategies - Maintain and enhance current configurations for client environments - Plan and conduct training sessions for new workflows and procedural recommendations - Mentor and guide junior engineers - Be part of an on-call rotation - Develop and manage applications in AKS

We are seeking an Azure-focused Cloud Systems Engineer to join our Technical Services team located in Berkeley Heights, NJ or Alpharetta, GA. In this role, you will support the Financial Risk & Management Systems (FRMS) business unit as they transition key applications to the cloud. You will be responsible for becoming the subject matter expert for our Azure environments and will work closely with our Professional Services and Product Departments to provide feedback on our build pipeline and enhance our internal tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to build and support new applications in the Azure cloud.
