Requirements

Must:
- Extensive experience in technical support or desktop support roles focusing on exceptional customer service - Strong comprehension of networking concepts including LAN configuration, VPN setup, firewalls, and network security protocols - Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting methodologies for desktops and laptops - Capability to convey intricate technical information clearly to non-technical individuals - Experience with IT infrastructure aspects such as switches, routers, BMC Remedy ticketing system, or OS updates is a plus - Excellent problem-solving abilities paired with a proactive approach to quickly and effectively resolve issues

Responsibilities

- Respond swiftly to user inquiries through help desk tickets, phone calls, or emails, delivering outstanding customer support with enthusiasm and professionalism - Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux - Maintain computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals to guarantee optimal functionality - Configure and assist with network connectivity, encompassing LAN, VPN, firewalls, and other network devices - Contribute to IT infrastructure upkeep, including server management, OS updates, and security patches - Utilize incident management systems like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira to document problems, track their resolution, and communicate updates effectively - Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to address intricate technical challenges related to software issues, hardware management, or network operations
