Requirements

Must:
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is mandatory. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution is essential. - Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelors degree. - Active security clearance with a polygraph is required. - Proficiency in C++ and Python is preferred. - Familiarity with Kubernetes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specifications. - Design and develop new software or enhance existing software to introduce additional features. - Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments. - Compose or evaluate software and system documentation. - Serve as the team leader appropriating to the software development process in any given project. - Design or implement complex database or data repository queries and interfaces. - Formulate or apply algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional criteria. - Aid in developing and executing testing protocols for software components. - Create software solutions by assessing system performance metrics, consulting with users or systems engineers, and investigating problem areas. - Revise existing software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, or enhance performance. - Employ scientific analysis and mathematical models to design, develop, and modify software systems for optimal outcomes. - Develop complex algorithms adhering to strict timing and resource constraints; ensure team product quality control. - Implement suggestions for improving documentation and software development process standards. - Oversee software system installation and monitor equipment functions to ensure compliance with operational specifications.
