Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Four years of additional Software Engineering experience can substitute for a bachelors degree.
- Active security clearance with a polygraph is required.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements to inform software design and performance criteria.
- Develop and code new software or enhance existing applications to introduce new functionalities.
- Integrate current software into newly developed or modified systems or operating environments.
- Write or evaluate software and system documentation for clarity and completeness.
- Lead the team in accordance with the software development methodology applicable to each project.
- Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces and queries.
- Create or implement algorithms that meet or exceed system performance and operational standards.
- Assist in developing and executing testing protocols for software components.
- Create software solutions by evaluating system performance, consulting with users or system engineers, analyzing data flows, and identifying problem areas.
- Modify existing software for error correction, adaptation to new hardware, or performance optimization.
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical modeling.
- Implement complex algorithms adhering to strict timing and resource constraints.
- Perform quality control assessments on team products.
- Oversee software system installations and ensure equipment functions meet operational specifications.
