Requirements
Must:
- I must possess the capability to develop Web or Java code within an Agile / DevSecOps team setting.
- I should have experience in reviewing software to ensure cybersecurity assurance.
- I need to have a background in tracking system cybersecurity posture/compliance.
- Citizenship is required, and I must obtain a government security clearance.
- Additionally, my position is at a facility that mandates special access.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Cybersecurity Software Engineer, I will lead the design, development, and security enhancement of mission-critical web-based and Java applications that cater to the Intelligence, Global Strike, and Nuclear Planning sectors.
- I will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining secure software solutions by integrating cybersecurity best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- I will lead efforts in software design, coding, automated testing, integration, and defect resolution.
- Collaborating closely with systems engineers, solution architects, scrum masters, product owners, and end users will be essential to ensure that mission requirements are met with robust and secure solutions.
- I will contribute to initiatives aimed at continuous improvement, including security posture assessments, process automation, and DevSecOps practices.
- Utilizing my expertise, I will mentor junior engineers and influence the technical direction on high-impact projects.
Description
My work will primarily be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, and I will have a 4x10 hour work schedule with 3 days off each week. Lockheed Martin supports various alternate work schedules that provide added flexibility and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
