Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience in engineering tools, frameworks, and automation linked with GitLab, cloud systems, DevSecOps, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience in containerizing applications (e.g., Docker, Podman) and deploying them in large Kubernetes/OpenShift environments through infrastructure-as-code mechanisms (e.g., Ansible, Helm).
- Strong ability to create high-quality documentation (design specifications, runbooks, API guides).
- Experience in developing microservices, preferably using Python.
- Background in building AI agents using various frameworks (e.g., CrewAI, AutoGen, LangChain/LangGraph).
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Knowledge of AI security or adversarial machine learning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate intimately with various AI Red Teams to conceptualize, design, and implement adversarial AI capabilities for autonomous systems, computer vision, and RF/EW applications, converting leading research into production-ready code.
- Create a modular and extensible red-teaming framework that allows for repeatable, user-driven evaluations.
- Develop user-facing interfaces and workflows (CLI, web UI, APIs, CI/CD pipelines) along with documentation that enables both internal and future third-party users to carry out red team activities with minimal expert knowledge.
- Combine open-source, commercial, and inner-source solutions into a unified platform, managing packaging, versioning, release processes, and ongoing maintenance.
- Construct and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar) that feature automated testing, security scans, and deployment to cloud and containerized/VM environments.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Operations (InfraOps) stakeholders for managing virtualized, containerized, and cloud-based Linux platforms, emphasizing configuration, orchestration, DISA STIG compliance, and lifecycle maintenance.
- Implement observability through structured logging, metrics, and dashboards using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, ensuring comprehensive traceability for debugging, performance evaluation, operational dependability, and audits.
- Develop and maintain GPU-enabled software workloads (including NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, container runtimes) while persistently optimizing for performance and stability.
- Promote secure development methodologies by integrating threat modeling, code reviews, and DevSecOps practices throughout the software lifecycle.
- Coordinate development and deployment efforts across both classified (on-site) and unclassified (remote) environments, ensuring both security and operational reliability.
Description
We are looking for a skilled software engineer to join our small team focused on designing, developing, integrating, and constructing an AI red teaming platform. This role is dedicated to creating state-of-the-art adversarial AI tools and capabilities in alignment with the Lockheed AI Center (LAIC) Red Team, serving both classified and unclassified environments. Our work encompasses integrating open source, custom-built, and commercial AI utilities while providing a cohesive user experience and enabling automated assessments across various use cases. We offer flexible work arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package, centered around fostering an empowering company culture that encourages innovation and collaboration. This hybrid position primarily allows for remote work, although proximity to a major Lockheed Martin location is necessary for occasional on-site activities.
