Systems Engineer

- Direct system engineering efforts for avionics subsystems throughout the entire product lifecycle. - Convert customer requirements into effective technical solutions, establish software/hardware interfaces, verify requirements, and integrate safety-critical systems. - Assist with the design and certification of embedded mission software for contemporary defense platforms, including software-requirements development or C-code testing procedures as necessary. - Supervise the creation of embedded system requirements for mission and communication systems while working collaboratively with hardware, software, integration, testing, and program management teams. - Coordinate team planning to achieve performance, scheduling, and budget targets while actively contributing to code development and architecture. - Develop and manage traceability matrices, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), algorithms, test plans, procedures, and reports. - Oversee verification and validation (IV&V) activities, facilitate certification processes (DO-178C, aerospace standards), and apply MBSE, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices to streamline verification. - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cultivate strong customer relationships.
