Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in Electrical, Systems Engineering, or Avionics
- Proficiency in Electrical or Components Engineering with a focus on Mission Systems Integration
- Practical knowledge of electronic and avionic hardware, including components and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with electronic components such as microprocessors, memory devices, and interface circuits
- Understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, signal processing, and communication protocols
- Experience with military and aerospace systems, particularly avionics, radar, and communication systems
- Knowledge of system integration involving mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces
- Strong technical writing capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities
- Oversee a comprehensive initiative to preserve the longevity of our aircraft systems
- Collaborate with design engineering, supply chain, program management, and the obsolescence core team
- Monitor end-of-life notifications and address component obsolescence
- Tackle supply chain disruptions proactively
- Utilize engineering expertise to enhance system performance and mitigate risks
- Ensure ongoing supportability for complex aircraft systems
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork to drive innovation and solutions
- Contribute to training and mentoring initiatives within the team
