Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Radiation/Nuclear Physics, or a related engineering field with approximately 9 years of professional experience
- Proven experience with Natural Space Radiation and Manmade Radiation Environments and ability to conduct tasks relevant to the Survivability discipline
- Proficiency with Electrical engineering simulation tools (such as SPICE, PSPICE, etc.)
- Skilled in using software tools for electrical engineering and mathematical analyses (e.g., MATLAB, etc.)
- Experience in Test laboratory settings and familiarity with associated test equipment including data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
- Solid understanding of Electronics and/or semiconductor physics
- Active SECRET security clearance and the capability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Apply theories in electrical, electronics, and physics to execute tasks in the Survivability engineering field
- Ensure designs of NASA, commercial, and military space vehicles and missiles meet performance standards when exposed to specified environments such as natural and manmade radiation
- Conduct technical planning, develop specifications, perform modeling and analysis, and execute test planning and documentation to support overall system requirements
- Collaborate with design teams, testing teams, and other engineering disciplines to develop mission analyses and identify MMOD mitigation strategies
- Be part of the enterprise Survivability Engineering group, partnering with authorities, mentoring, and leading peers.
