Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering)
- Proven experience in structural analysis of primary and secondary airframe structures
- Background in metallic and composite material analysis
- Familiarity with free-body diagrams, classical hand calculations, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) pre- and post-processing
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Collaborative mindset for team environments
Responsibilities
- Assist with F-16 Production and F-22 Sustainment Material Review Board (MRB) repairs to ensure parts and assemblies meet strength standards
- Conduct stress analysis on metallic and composite materials, sizing detail parts and evaluating the strength of aircraft structures and systems
- Validate new and existing designs by performing strength analysis, releasing drawings, and preparing comprehensive analysis reports
- Assess and compare structural efficiency and weight for various designs through analysis and trade studies
- Offer input on structural tests, including requirements, loads, and predicted outcomes
