Staff Software Quality Engineer

- Develop, adapt, and implement quality standards for both in-house and externally sourced software systems to ensure adherence to project, process, and contractual goals. - Validate test equipment, including HIL systems, by designing, specifying, and executing detailed inspection, verification, and validation test methods. - Establish comprehensive operating criteria for the software quality program and develop/maintain effective development and maintenance processes. - Create and execute an audit strategy to ensure compliance with all system and software protocols. - Continuously assess and analyze the software quality system to pinpoint deficiencies, implement corrective measures, and confirm that reliability metrics meet established criteria. - Conduct detailed software product evaluations including requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and protocols, and employed tools, techniques, and methodologies. - Ensure appropriate requirement allocation, traceability, and testability throughout the entire product lifecycle. - Proactively devise innovative, interdisciplinary solutions to complex quality issues with minimal daily supervision. - Lead significant projects from initiation to completion, making enduring choices that influence the organizations technical direction. - Regularly engage with senior management on strategic quality issues. - Introduce new ideas and best practice frameworks and utilize comprehensive expertise in industry standards and company protocols to promote ongoing improvement and keep the organization at the cutting edge of software quality. - Travel required approximately 20% of the time.
