Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in software development projects
- Strong ability to collaborate with peer developers for seamless subsystem integration
- Capability to manage project budgets effectively
- Deep understanding of software design practices
- Experience with service architectures and intricate computational challenges
- Proficiency with Microsoft software applications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory
Desired Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree (or higher) in fields such as Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering; equivalent relevant industry experience will also be considered
- Background in developing software/hardware integrations and third-party API utilization
- Comprehensive knowledge of software design focusing on web-client user interfaces
- Familiarity with Control Account Management (CAM) processes for Earned Value Management (EVM) initiatives
- Expertise in programming languages such as C++, Python, Angular, Active MQ, or similar
- Experience in product lifecycle phases including SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, and TRR
- Requirement for active TS/SCI security clearance to be considered.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading a team of software engineers, balancing technical duties and leadership responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate software development for a command and control system addressing complex use cases
- Design, develop, document, test, and troubleshoot software for commanding, health, and status across various hardware locations, along with a user interface for operators
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to clarify and distribute requirements, perform verification and validation, and aid in system integration
- Employ suitable standards and practices throughout the development lifecycle, including facilitating Agile methodologies and providing financial data for Earned Value Management
- Utilize insights from computer hardware, software, and information processing to inform software development
- Resolve programming issues, draft operating instructions, compile development documentation, and analyze system capabilities and requirements
- Ensure compliance with software standards in partnership with program leadership.
