Requirements
Must:
- A company-sponsored Interim Secret clearance is necessary to begin work.
- Proven experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) systems development life cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to implement cybersecurity requirements on DoD systems to satisfy U.S. government compliance.
- Experience in validation and verification of security requirements on DoD systems.
- Possession of an authorized DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT/IAM Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.) or the capability to obtain certification within six months of starting.
- Preferred experience in developing embedded DoD National Security Systems (NSS) focusing on Systems Security Engineering implementations.
- Design expertise throughout the DoD systems development life cycle for embedded security solutions related to weapon or tactical systems.
- Strategic and tactical thinking abilities coupled with innovative problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with embedded systems design and associated vulnerabilities.
- Excellent written communication skills and proficiency in effective interactions.
- Understanding of System Security Engineering (SSE) principles and processes, particularly NIST SP 800-161.
- Experience in identifying, decomposing, allocating, and verifying NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls for DoD systems.
- Hands-on experience supporting Security Verification testers for developed DoD Weapon Systems.
- Knowledge of missile and/or aircraft fire control system interfaces and design.
- Background in Systems Engineering with Open System Architecture design and partitioning.
- Comprehension of Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments and protection strategies.
- Insight into NSA-approved cryptographic standards and practical applications of cryptographic algorithms.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (Cameo preferred) and generation of DODAF views and MBSE diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate anti-tamper and embedded cybersecurity solutions for deliverable products within Missiles and Fire Control.
- Provide System Security Engineering design and implementation throughout the System Security Engineering (SSE) process in developing DoD Weapon Systems.
- Evaluate and address System Security threats and risks across the embedded Weapon System development life cycle.
- Validate decomposition, allocation, and analysis of System Security Engineering requirements for embedded Weapon Systems.
- Employ System Security Engineering solutions in both hardware and software environments.
- Create, deploy, and manage state-of-the-art System Security architectures and countermeasures to safeguard innovative Lockheed Martin products.
- Prototype and evaluate Security countermeasures to defend against cyber threats targeting weapon system products.
- Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Systems Engineers to properly integrate System Security Engineering into critical high-integrity systems.
