Requirements
Must:
- Proven leadership abilities that align with Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives.
- Experience in planning and coordinating software development within a collaborative team environment.
- Proficient in Software Engineering Processes and Tools, with hands-on experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- At least 10 years of direct software development experience, preferably in C++ and Java, covering the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
- In-depth understanding of Lockheed Martin processes and relevant program protocols.
- Familiarity with software estimation tools, metrics identification, and data collection processes.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to obtain Security+ certification within six months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that our team meets all program and business commitments while collaborating with Program Leadership to enhance Program Execution.
- Oversee staffing and resource distribution within the software division, including recruitment and hiring.
- Conduct performance reviews, promotions, and assist in career development activities.
- Maintain and update Software Development Plans and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring compliance within the team.
- Mentor the team on client interactions, define workflows, and foster continuous improvement.
- Collect, analyze, and utilize software and Earned Value Management metrics in various program execution frameworks.
- Develop software delivery timelines in conjunction with project engineers and ensure adherence to these schedules.
- Cultivate growth within the Software Organization.
- Communicate with Program Management, Control Account Managers, Project Engineers, other discipline leaders, and clients regarding priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Prepare software estimates via Basis of Estimates.
- Implement Digital Transformation initiatives into software development practices (e.g., DevSecOps, Software Factory, Agile, Automated Testing, AI).
