Requirements
Must:
- Proven leadership capabilities aligned with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience organizing and coordinating software development within a collaborative environment
- Proficient in Software Engineering Processes and Tools, with hands-on experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
Responsibilities
- Ensure that team members are fulfilling program and business obligations while collaborating with the Program Leadership team to enhance Program Execution
- Oversee staffing and resource distribution, including the recruitment and hiring of new talent
- Maintain and update Software Development Plans and Software Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring the team adheres to guidelines
- Mentor and guide the team in conducting business with our customers, establishing processes, and improving when necessary
- Analyze software and Earned Value Management metrics in both Agile and Waterfall practices
- Develop SW project schedules and oversee adherence to timelines
- Liaise with Program Management, Control Account Managers, Project Engineers, other discipline leads, and clients regarding priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Prepare Software Estimates through Basis of Estimates
- Integrate Digital Transformation initiatives into software development processes such as AI, DevSecOps, and Agile practices
