Requirements
Must:
- 6+ years of experience with a Software Program that has significant Hardware dependencies.
- Proficient in GitLab, encompassing version control, CI/CD, and issue tracking.
- Strong grasp of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and continuous integration.
- Experience in maintaining software metrics and using them to lead a software engineering team.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Math, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and popular technology stacks.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools, including Ansible and GitLab.
- Proven ability to implement improvements across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
- Experience with proposals and preparing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Skilled in infrastructure automation, particularly with Ansible, GitLab, and Nexus.
- Ability to write Ansible Playbooks for configuration management.
- Security+ certification is highly desired; Linux+ certification is a plus.
- Strong scripting skills in both Windows (PowerShell) and Linux (shell scripting).
- Experience administering Windows Domain/Active Directory.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall technical, capability, and schedule performance of software engineering.
- Serve as the representative for the Lead Software Engineer during software engineering operations.
- Define and adhere to the software engineering processes, procedures, and necessary process assets for the program.
- Address software engineering staffing, resource, and infrastructure needs.
- Manage software engineering costs, schedules, and technical performance at the product level.
- Lead the development of software architecture for the program.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the software engineering discipline and implement 1LMX techniques and strategies.
