Requirements
Must:
- Engineering degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical discipline from an accredited university.
- Experience in design teams for aerospace applications.
- Proficient in one or more CAD systems such as Catia V5, 3DX, SolidWorks, NX, or similar (Catia V5 or 3DX preferred).
- Previous involvement with aircraft sizing and synthesis, and/or aircraft configuration design.
- Experience in delivering technical presentations and writing technical reports.
- Experience lofting aircraft outer mold lines (OMLs) and/or flowpaths (IMLs) for detailed analysis.
- Capability in developing internal aircraft packaging models and layouts.
- Expertise in executing conceptual trades including engine and planform selection.
- Experience creating and using Multidisciplinary Design, Analysis, and Optimization (MDAO) models.
- Ability to produce design space visualizations such as carpet plots and pareto fronts.
Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of our Conceptual Design efforts.
- Mentor colleagues and guide the next generation of technical leaders.
- Collaborate with involved Conceptual Designers to provide exceptional support for programs.
- Align design strategies across various sites with program objectives.
- Ensure adherence to all aircraft design competencies and regulatory standards.
- Develop, implement, and manage technical standards and processes for conceptual design.
