Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant engineering field.
- Proven experience with systems engineering processes, including requirements generation and decomposition.
- Proficiency in using software tools (e.g., MS Excel and Access) and tracking requirements via the DOORS database tool.
- Experience in customer engagements, such as design reviews and leading weekly Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse engineering disciplines and suppliers to derive, decompose, and verify requirements.
- Knowledge of digital engineering or model-based engineering.
- Experience in developing system architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile SAFe methodology.
- Experience working with operational modeling tools within a Risk Managed Framework (RMF).
- Background in Mission Systems applications and integration/test experience.
- Previous experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM), with CAM certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Engage in systems engineering tasks across various Mission Systems and general Systems Engineering activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, decompose, track, and verify requirements, while supporting Functional Configuration Audits.
- Advocate for timely and precise risk assessments and execute risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop supplier specifications, engage in technical planning, and verify requirements as necessary.
- Provide integration and test support for systems and subsystems and work closely with program management to ensure comprehensive program and technical integrity.
- Author and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) and Engineering Requirements Documents (ERDs) for Subcontracts and Vendors.
- Contribute to multiple phases of a product lifecycle, including development, production, and sustainment.
