Senior Systems Engineer - Hardware Management

- Analyze proposed design changes and evaluate their impact on system baselines. - Create, monitor, and finalize modification records and change orders for internal teams and subcontractors. - Prepare clear and concise change impact reports for management and customers. - Review engineering change releases and coordinate their implementation with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and data control teams. - Ensure that all customer requirements are integrated and that change accounting adheres to configuration management policies. - Design, develop, and automate productivity tools or databases to support evolving program and customer needs. - Execute Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) using suitable tools to confirm compliance with serialization and configuration requirements before hardware release. - Conduct status accounting activities to ensure engineering designs align with actual hardware/software during builds and that configurations are current. - Generate and maintain serialized/lot record sheets, inputting data into the central database and safeguarding identification records for every serialized item. - Input engineering changes into the central repository and ensure the database is kept up to date. - Foster collaboration among Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality to adhere to program timelines and deliver well-documented engineering changes promptly. - Act as the representative for as-built configurations and serialization during Configuration Change Board meetings. - Track outstanding change items, monitor implementation status, and promptly close change records. - Effectively manage multiple tasks independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
