Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering
- Experience in the development, analysis, and troubleshooting of fuel system architecture
- Previous experience leading a technical team
- Familiarity with governing specifications and industry standards
- Experience in the defense or aerospace sector
- Background in supporting aircraft fuel system development or maintenance
- Knowledge of defense/aerospace supplier management
- Strong collaborative and proactive task management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience diagnosing faults in complex systems
- Proficiency with technical documentation, such as AEI, manufacturing plans, and repairs
- Experience leading Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives
- Skills in creating, updating, and managing engineering drawings
- Familiarity with analysis tools like Amesim, MATLAB, Simulink, CATIA V4, V5, or V6, and 3DX
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers in the fuel system team
- Conduct analytical trade studies to guide the development of air-vehicle fuel systems
- Plan, execute, and assess flight-test or qualification-test campaigns for fuel system components
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure adherence to technical specifications and project requirements
- Prepare estimates for labor and materials for new project proposals and assist in kickoffs for quotes/bids
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and conduct root-cause analyses for aircraft and systems issues, delivering effective solutions
