Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science in engineering with over 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master of Science in engineering with more than 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Systems Engineering with tools such as DOORS and/or CAMEO.
- Background in managing requirements, including breaking them down to subsystem levels, conducting traceability analysis, and planning verification processes.
- Familiarity with defense products is advantageous.
- Experience in missile programs is preferred.
- Capability to execute detailed system verification activities, including defining verification methodologies.
- Competence in conducting trade studies and requirement analyses.
- Practical hardware experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge in Integration and Testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with RF products is desirable.
- Experience in risk management is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and daily leadership for the PAC 3 systems engineering team.
- Define and oversee system-level requirements, traceability matrices, and baseline documentation.
- Lead the development of functional and physical architectures, conduct trade studies, and recommend optimal design solutions.
- Guide the planning of verification and validation, including readiness reviews, hardware-in-the-loop simulations, and final system acceptance.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external customers, suppliers, and internal program teams to address and resolve technical challenges.
- Conduct and preside over System Design Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and Risk/Issue Management sessions.
- Manage configuration control, change management, and documentation in LM PLM tools like Windchill and DOORS.
- Mentor and coach junior systems engineers, promoting an inclusive and collaborative environment while supporting continual skill development.
- Aid in program scheduling and cost tracking by delivering precise technical estimates and status reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—propulsion, guidance, software, testing, manufacturing, and quality—to ensure effective subsystem integration.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing affordability, reliability, and technical precision across the PAC 3 product line.
