Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in STEM required
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle processes related to quality
- Experience with Airworthiness/Safety standards relevant to quality
- Knowledge of supplier controls associated with quality
- Experience conducting process and product audits related to quality
- Practical application of Software Quality Engineering principles in Agile, SCRUM, or DevSecOps environments
- Proficiency in languages such as C++, Python, Java, and/or C#
- Competence in Microsoft Office Applications, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Artifactory, Cameo
- Strong teamwork orientation with exceptional organizational abilities
- Capable of creating and analyzing metric data including statistical analysis
- Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and identify root causes to implement improvements
- Excellent skills in communicating issues and potential solutions to diverse audiences
- Experience with AS9100 or AS9115 standards
- Familiarity with Airworthiness Certification (RTCA DO-178/DO-278 and MIL-STD-516)
- High-energy, proactive team player focused on achieving goals
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration, communication, and resolving issues across multiple organizations
- Proven expertise in quality science fields such as statistical analysis, statistical process control, and root cause analysis
- Ability to coordinate research and resolve issues among various organizations
- Understanding of each phase of the software lifecycle (e.g., Requirements, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Formal Testing, Integration & Testing, Release, Configuration Management, Problem Resolution)
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating software processes
- Proficient in problem-solving and data analytics
- Familiar with Agile methodologies
Responsibilities
- Implement the Software Quality Engineering (SWQE) mission to ensure compliance with documented processes meeting customer and company requirements
- Conduct evaluations, audits, and oversight of product quality and processes throughout the software development lifecycle
- Utilize quality sciences to identify, communicate, and drive resolutions for necessary improvements in software development processes
- Provide SWQE management with metrics, reports, and schedules—along with Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for tasking and additional support as required
- Develop and deploy standardized software quality procedures and quality engineering methods and tools
- Collaborate effectively within an engineering team to achieve mission goals
- Be flexible with work hours, including willingness to travel and work off-shift or weekends when necessary
