Requirements
Must:
- Proven expertise in C/C++ development for embedded systems, with familiarity in real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, Integrity, or QNX.
- Demonstrated understanding of software design patterns, model-based development (such as UML/SysML, MBSE), and techniques for formal verification or static analysis pertinent to high-integrity coding.
- Strong foundation in secure, fault-tolerant, and deterministic coding methodologies.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-disciplinary software review boards or technical authority panels.
- Involvement with Agile/SAFe methodologies or alternative iterative development processes tailored for high-integrity frameworks, including CI/CD pipelines for embedded targets.
- Proven leadership in software architecture on at least one safety-critical, real-time project, with documented responsibilities for system-wide software frameworks, integration strategies, and verification/validation plans.
- Experience in providing mentorship and technical guidance in software architecture, contributing to the programs architectural proficiency.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the comprehensive software strategy for guidance, navigation, and control systems within the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) hypersonic missile program.
- Oversee the integration of real-time, fault-tolerant software, ensuring the production of secure and maintainable code that adheres to strict performance and safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidimensional teams to facilitate the development and enhancement of software for embedded flight systems.
- Direct the design and execution of Flight Software testbeds for effective hardware integration testing and feedback cycles.
- Drive the adoption of best practices for coding standards and methodologies across the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior engineering staff to enhance individual and team capabilities in software development.
